A beautiful church It took two years to build from 1904 to 1907 and It is made of concrete -the only two other known churches made out of concrete are Bíldudal Church and Ingjaldshóll in Hellissandur. The church holds about 200 people and there is an organ upstairs which was brought in 1957. The first priest was Father Bjarna Símonarson who conducted his first sermon on 19. May 1907. The Altarpiece painting in the Church is copy of "One thing is necessary." by Carl Bloch who was a well-known Danish painter.
