Handmade shoes. Trancoso, Bahia, late 90s. Paula Ferber opened her first store in Trancoso’s “Quadrado”, where customers were able to tailor-make their own sandals, allowing them real influence on the creative process, from color schemes and types of material used to decorative motifs, made to measure and handcrafted by the local shoemaker. At that time, Paula Ferber defined her style of creation and her unique visionary business model, as what we call today “Creative Economy”.
