Earliest parts of Fyvie date from the 13th century. Fyvie was the site of an open air court by Robert The Bruce and Charles the 1st lived here as a child.

Until recent times the seat of the Forbes-Leith family, now owned and run by National Trust for Scotland. Lovely walks in the grounds surrounding a castle with some dark secrets!

Impressive castle, originally a royal castle in the 16thc, it has been extended and by generations of occupants. Substantial gardens and grounds. A full day out.
