The Barcode project is part of the Bjørvika portion of the Fjord City redevelopment on the former dock and industrial estate in central Oslo. It consists of a row of new multifunctional high-rise buildings, which were completed in 2016. Worth a visit if you like architecture.

Barcode is a destination in Oslo, Norway, well known for its striking architecture. The 12 Barcode buildings is both tall and thin, and the architecture concept has received worldwide recognition. Each building is unique, but when you see them from afar, they resemble a barcode form, hence the name. The distinctive shape is Oslo’s new skyline. When visiting the area, you will discover that it is more to experience than the modern architecture. You will find restaurants, shops, services and galleries on the street level that is worth the trip alone.
