Ax 3 Domaines is a winter sports resort in the Ax-les-Thermes (famous for its thermal baths), in Ariège. It's just over an hour away from Chez Montagnes. Since 2001, the climb to the ski station has been used as a stage finish in the Tour de France.

A great skiing and walking destination. One hour and 10 minute drive. Also houses natural hot thermal pools which is well worth a visit. Leaves you feeling very relaxed.

Lovely pretty old town with many attractions, cafes and restaurants. les Bains du Couloubret is a true thermal experience. Ax means water and well known for its sulphurous hot springs. There are several restaurants and cafes. Most have wifi . Great place to shop for local produce. A markets is held here each Tuesday and Saturday. You find an Office de Tourisme in the centre of Ax.
