The theatre was built in the first century BC, under Emperor Augustus, and was used until the third century AD. It´s located right under Alcazaba. It is the oldest arqueological site in Málaga.

Built in the first Century by Emperor Augustus, but discovered only on 1951 (!), is one of the most preserved roman theatres. You can even enjoy a real play during the summer. Enter, sit and feel like a roman descendant, for free - entrance by the Alcazaba palace. Or enter by the interpretation center (left side of the theatre) and discover also the interior.

ROMAN TEATHER: This is a free attraction. It won't take you long to wander round but it's very beautiful and well preserved. It's strange to sit on the steps and think about what might have taken place here over the years.
