The Georgian Quarter is 1.4 miles from the LiverpoolBoat. It is a collection of cobbled streets with bars and restaurants particularly on Hope Street.

You can easily walk round this area and get lost in time. The unique architecture of the buildings is something to take in as you stroll through roads such as Hope Street, Rodney Street, Upper Parliament street and Catherine Street. Usually it is an area not visited by the city’s visitors who stay by the waterfront and shopping centre, but they are truly missing out on the sights of the Grade II listed buildings. It is also the heart of historical landmarks such as the 2 cathedrals the city has to offer.

For the architecture buffs there is no nicer way to spend an afternoon than a stroll through the Georgian Quarter, Liverpool´s most photogenic district. You’ll find beautiful houses, cobbled streets, and ornate front steps. Stop at the Quarter café/restaurant on Hope St and watch the world go by

The beautiful georgian quarter has lots of nice restaurants, cafes and bars. There's also the philharmonic hall and pub with its famous toilets. Paul McCartney did an improptu gig at the pub a few years ago. If you're visiting the anglican cathedral then take awalk down Hope Street and you'll find everything you need.
