This is Munichs Beach area. In summertime people will ly in the sun all along the river. But this is an especially crowded and nice beach. Take U3 to "Thalkirchen" Bring food, beer or barbecue.

A place to be (maybe if you are a student and young) BUT - during the day its a nice place with kinda cool river nature.

Nature and recreation. Good for jogging or having a peaceful walk. There a beer-gardens and little parks for pick-nicks or whatever you like to do outside.
