Excellent adventure. Leave early early to drive to many glacier side of the park.

From the Swiftcurrent picnic area, hike 3.5 miles to Grinnell Lake or take a right at the well-marked fork up the mountain to Grinnell Glacier for a total of 5.5 miles one way. One of the few actual remaining glaciers, Grinnell becomes a spectacular waterfall as it melts and creates the bright blue color of the lake. A great full day option, or buy a ticket for the boat from the boat landing near Many Glacier Lodge to shave off the first 2.5 miles.

From Logan's Pass to Grinnell Overlook it is approximately 14 miles round trip. You will want to plan for a pretty long day for this one.

1 of the best hikes in the park. Is accessed from the East side. 11.2 miles round trip and every step is photo worthy.

The Grinnell Glacier Overlook is accessed from Garden Wall Trail which is a spur off the popular Highline trail. Starting on Highline Trail from Logan’s pass and returning the same way was 16miles round trip. Most of the trail is very moderate. The .8miles up garden wall trail gains 1,000 feet and is surprisingly challenging so prepare for that mile to take extra time! You can save distance by returning to the Loop and taking the Glacier Shuttle back to Logan’s pass. This option does require an advance shuttle ticket.
