Mexican Food. So there are 2 types of Mexican food in California, gringo mexican food (not for Mexicans) and then authentic mexican food. Somehow this place falls in the middle, but is just excellent. I grew up in a city with a large Mexican population, and they would like this place just as much as any mexican food you can get anywhere. It's cleaned up a little bit, so the meat is less fatty and the salsa is not as spicy, but its great. There is another mexican food place in Newport beach, but this is where you should be eating.
